Administrative Building

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has very well developed administrative building having fully fledged sitting arrangement for scientist, technical and ministerial staff and a well furnished training hall with 50 farmers sitting facility.

Farmers Hostel

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has a farmer's hostel that can accommodate more than 100 farmers at a time. The hostel rooms are well furnished too. The facilities are also available to outside farmers who visit us during study tours on nominal charges. The hostel has one AC room for VIP/ Dignatory and three rooms for officials. The six staff quarters are available.

Instructional Farm

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra possesses 44 hac. Out of which 14 hac is under buildings, Nursery & Orchard and 30 hac utilized under seed production and crop museum. The main purpose of the farm is to demonstrate the latest agricultural practices and seed multiplication of newly released varieties of this area. It also acts as a tool to do applied research on agricultural Technologies & undertake trials before their transfer to farmers. After a careful planning and analysis soil types, the farm was divided in to two major blocks of Horticulture and Agronomy. This was followed by planting mother plants of horticulture crops such as Mango, Guava, Anola, Pomegranate etc that are mainly grown in the district. Similarly, agronomical crops grown are Paddy, Soybean, Urd and Fodder in Kharif and Wheat, Mustard, Gram, Coriander and Green fodder in Rabi. The farm has four tube-wells for irrigation. The farm also has several farm implements museum and improved farm implements are available for demonstration purpose.

Demonstration Units

Dairy Unit

A dairy unit started In 2007-08 with 3 crossbred cows by loan from University RF and now successfully running for demonstration purpose.

Vermicomposting Unit

A vermicompost unit of 8 beds established with financial support of ICAR in 2005-06 and a vermi hatchery unit is also established with the help of NCOF in 2010-11. These demonstrate the conversion of farm waste into enriched compost. Two different species of worms are reared so that the culture can be made available to farmers. The annual capacity of the unit is 200 Qt. 1.Eisenia foetida. 2. Eudrillus uginae

Mother Orchards with Model Nursery Units

This KVK has mother orchards of Guava, Mango, Aonla and Pomegranate with different varieties (150 plants of each crop) for propagation of quality planting material of fruit plant to distribute the farmers. One model nursery has been developed with financial help from NHM (Rs.18 lac). This nursery is producing nearly 2.5 lac plants every year. Another model nursery has established in 2010-11 with help of NHM (Rs.20 lac) for production of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants.

Food Processing Unit : Dairy Unit

A food processing unit has established by financial help of NHM. Under this unit KVK is making Juices, Pickles, Murabba, Candy etc and grinded spices.

Apiary Unit

Bio Control Unit

A Bio-control unit was established by financial help of ICAR. This unit produces & provides different bio-control agents on no profit & no loss basis. Like -Trichoderma with the capacity of 800 Kg/year.

Automatic Weather Station

The Unit has equipments to record daily minimum & maximum temperature, humidity, rainfall, evaporation rate etc. This data can be made available to farmers on demand free of cost for working out the water requirements of the plants & prediction of diseases.

Plant Health Clinic

This Krishi Vigyan Kendra has established a plant health clinic with financial support of ICAR to provide farm consultancy services of all types free of cost to farmers. Farmers may visit us with their queries or write to us for the guidance.

Soil and Water Testing Laboratory

A well equipped laboratory for soil & water samples analyses was established with financial support of ICAR. Every soil sample is analyzed for eight parameters such as pH, Electric Conductivity, Organic carbon, available Nitrogen, available Phosphorus & available Potassium, Exchangeable Sodium, Calcium & Magnesium content at reasonable rates.

Solar Energy Pump Set

With the help of NHM (Rs. 5 lac), a solar energy unit is also developed at KVK with 1.5 HP motor.
